The 10th edition of the Sustainability Awards is a testament to the relentless efforts initiated at HCCB factories towards actively integrating sustainability principles into their business culture.
Located across Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore and Siliguri, the six HCCB factories were awarded under the Mega Large Business category. While the factories located in the suburbs of Hyderabad and Bhubaneshwar factories bagged the Leaders Award, the Bangalore and Siliguri factories of HCCB won the Challengers Award.
Based on a well-defined framework covering the key business sustainability parameters of Purpose, Partnership, Planet and People, the award included a rigorous on-site assessment process by a team of experts on 13 parameters as the enablers of sustainability. During the on-site assessment, the panel members were impressed by the exemplary work undertaken by HCCB in various areas such as water management, implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Safety Compliance, Work Culture, and Contractors Management System. Among other things the awards aim to acknowledge the top-performing companies that have augmented their focus on excellent sustainability strategies and extended efforts toward building a holistic business, society and environment.
Reflecting on the significance of the award, Dinesh Jadhav, Executive Director, Supply Chain, HCCB Pvt Ltd, said, “We have consistently given ourselves targets and challenges, which are often tougher than the prevailing industry norms on water, energy and effluent management. These awards will propel us further to continue to do better and be better.”
The HCCB logo is an affirmation of our core values. Much like the Indian ethos, we too, seek humility, progress, care, compassion and inclusivity. We too are curious, colourful and diverse.
Our logo has three components:
1) HCCB wordmark
The colourful wordmark captures the vibrant spirit and diversity of India. Between the four colours in the wordmark, they combine the primary or secondary colours of the top 8 selling brands of HCCB. The two Cs in the logo come together to form the infinity symbol; a symbol of the infinite opportunities that India as a country has to offer and HCCB as a company has to leverage. The imperfect letters in the logo is simply an assertion of our core value of not striving for perfection but progress.
2) The company name
The company name is written in the Noto Sans font, which is designed to be harmonious across multiple languages.
3) The brand proposition
The company’s brand proposition ‘Inspired by India’ summarises our purpose and our soul. We are Indian and India brings the best out of us.
